第六屆香港公開精英錦標賽2004, 回復在十二月廿六日舉行, 間接為一些專誠來捧場而不去東南亞旅行的學生或朋友 避了南亞海嘯一劫, 主人家欣慰無限, 功德無量!今年的海外裁判及賽手來自澳洲, 中國, 澳門, 台灣, 馬來西亞, 新加坡和泰國。主辦人陳航行很高興今次主辦這個比賽創了一個紀錄, 就是本港業餘標準五項有十三對本港精英角逐, 破了15/8/04起舞盃十二對的紀錄。比賽及頒獎順利在七時半完成, 還進行了簡單而隆重的ISTD証書頒發儀式, 由陳航行頒發於8 / 9月份成功考取ISTD職業試的同學, 晚餐後陳航行、高玉文表演了兩隻拉丁混合舞, 還有高玉文體育舞蹈坊同學的排排舞表演及陳航行、高玉文教授的Party Dance同樂, 最後還有幸運大抽獎, 各來賓都能享受一個多姿多采的拆禮物日!

The 6th Best of Best HK Open DanceSport Championships 2004 resumed its traditional date of competing on 26th December.Some students and their friends stayed in Hong Kong and cancelled their trips to SE Asia just for this occasion.The organizers felt much obliged if they did somehow prevent some of their friends from the unprecedented global catastrophe – the tsunami disaster in S. Asia.This year, there were overseas judges and competitors who came from Australia, China, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.Mr Lawrence Chan, the organizer was glad that this championship broke the record in the Closed Standard Amateur of having 13 couples in comparison with the "Come Dancing Cup" held on 15/8/04 which had 12 couples.The competitions and presentation of prizes went smoothly and ended successfully at 7.30 pm.A simple but solemn ceremony was held with Lawrence presenting ISTD Professional Certificates to his students who passed the examinations in Aug/Sept.After dinner, Lawrence and his wife Gertrude Ko performed one Latin Showdance and one Latin Segue, interspaced by the Line Dance performed by the Gertrude Ko DanceSport Workshop. Furthermore, Lawrence and Gertrude invited all guests to join the Party Dance coached by them, all participants were having great fun.Finally, the lucky draw, all lucky winners enjoyed themselves in opening up their gifts on this special "Best of Best" Boxing Day!
