10th HKBDFI Cup Ballroom Dance Championships'

第十屆HKBDFI盃標準舞錦標賽

2022 is the year of Double 10th Happiness for Hong Kong Ballroom Dancers International (HKBDI)  because two annual HKBDI Ranking Events went into 10th Anniversary, namely 10th HKBDFI Cup Ballroom Dance Championships on 19/6  and 10th Handover Cup DanceSport Championships on 3/7/22.  10th HKBDFI Cup was originally scheduled on 27/3/22 at Hotel Regal Riverside. Government restrictions forced it to be rescheduled to 5/6/22.  Unfortunately this date was clashed with HKDSA’s competition.  I tried to carried on but some HKBDI member adjudicators had promised to adjudicate for HKDSA on 5/6/22, so I was forced to move it further to 19/6/22.   
HKBDFI Cup has always been endorsed by BDFI since inaugurated event on 19/2/2012.  Thanks for BDFI Chairman Mr Greg Smith who sent his Congratulation Message to us for organizing BDFI recognized event in the hardest 5th wave COVID-19 time in HK.  The turnout of 90 Solo dancers & 46 couples was satisfactory after a 4- month Lockout by Government from 7th January to 20th April.  
2021 All Year Round Adult Champions & 2021 All Year Round J & J Champions prize presentations were held  Also there was first time introduction of Perfect Attendance Certificate presentations.  HKBDI J & J members who competed in all 4 Ranking Events in 2021 were eligible to received the Certificates.
