9th Handover Cup DanceSport Championships was organized under the name of Central & Western District Women’s Association (CWDWA). It was cancelled due to the raging epidemic in 2020 & resumed on 27/6/2021. The Leisure & Cultural Services Department had repeatedly requested the CWDWA to strictly implement the 4-person gathering restriction order. This added a lot of pressure on me as I was the advisor of this event. Actually, the epidemic situation on 27/6 was better than on 19/5 when I held my first competition in 2021. I emailed to the Department of Health again (I did it before 19/5), hoping that the competitors who received the injections would be exempt from wearing a mask on 27/6, but the request failed again! Another hazard was the date of 9th Handover Cup clashed with Kenji Po’s competition. Kenji was my scrutineer on 19/5. He could not do the job for me on 27/6 . In desperation, the manual old Scrutineer system was used again on 27/6. Although it was more troublesome and less convenient, everything went well luckily !

Data on 627: 145 Solo dancers (less than 519) / 45 Events, 98 couples (slightly more than 519) / 36 Events, 33 Adjudicators from Latvia, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, USA, Malaysia, Macau & HK. Because of the epidemic, the prizes were collected by the winners themselves, but this year CWDWA invited the Deputy Secretary of the Civil Affairs Bureau & many other officiating guests to attend the Grand Celebration Ceremony, the following 12 Events were arranged for the officiating guests to present the Prizes : “Under 8 C/R/J, Under 12 C/R/J, Latin Rising Star Amateur, Under 14 C/S/R/J, Under 21 C/S/R/P/J, Under 10 C/R/J, HK Amateur Latin, Under 16 C/S/R/P/J, Senior Over 40 Latin, HK Professional Latin, Open Amateur Latin, Open Amateur Standard”
