When Wendy Too & Terence Lay of Asia Starlight Dance Association (WDC Asian Tour organizers in Macau) asked me to co-organize the inaugural WDC AL (World Cup) Asian Tour in Hong Kong (3rd & last stop of three), I was overwhelmingly surprised with delight! I decided to incorporate the Asian Tour HK into 22nd Come Dancing Cup HK Open DanceSport Championships which was scheduled on th August 14. To work with these two great dance exponents, I knew the task would definitely be tough & challenging. Having adjudicated in 1st leg Taipei on 10th August & 2nd leg Shijiazhuang (China) on 12th August, both being held in Stadium, I was adamantly confident that the last leg in Hong Kong would bring extra excitements, sparkles & entertainments to the competitors, adjudicators and supporters and guests.
With the best dancing venue in HK - Convention Hall, Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, the best live band in HK, the best combination of organizers from HK & Macau, this event had became the talking point over the past few months in Hong Kong dance circle Record entries of 99 Solo dancers & 166 couples from Australia, China, Denmark, England, Italy, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine and Hong Kong were marked in Come Dancing Cup history. 16 Professional Standard couples & 11 Professional Latin high profile couples contested the six The last two Events, WDC AL Open Amateur Latin & Standard Finals, were held in the Dinner Party interspaced with Pro-Am shows, official formalities and the most famous Hongkong style dinner dancing.

Hannes Emrich, Christopher Short, Dr Henry Ooi & myself, the four judges who travelled to all three legs, all agreed it was perfect to culminate the last leg in the most glamorous setting with the most enjoyable and entertaining live music in Hong Kong !
