第廿五屆起舞盃 25th Come Dancing Cup

25th Come Dancing Cup with various Breakthrough Innovations &Records

To celebrate the Silver Jubilee celebration of Come Dancing Cup ( the only Open DanceSport Championships in Hong Kong run for 25 consecutive years without any break ), organizers Lawrence & Gertrude injected some International & Promotional unique elements into 25th Come Dancing Cup :

(1) being chosen as one of 11 organizers around the World in 2017 to form the series championships of BDFI Countdown ( www.bdfi.org)

(2) being selected as the Hong Kong National Championship organizers of the World Pro-Am V.Waltz Championships held in Vienna in December 2017 ( www.AmazingDanceWorld.Info)

First time entry experiences were recorded as follows :

(a) the first Brazilian couple ever to dance in Hong Kong

(b) one Spanish Amateur Latin couple who had entered the 23rd, 24th & 25th Come Dancing Cup on 9/8/15, 7/8/16, 13/8/17 ironically & coincidently failed to turn up at all

(c) 17 couples from Philippines competed from Novice to Professional

(d) 33 Senior Ballroom couples (13 in Senior Over 50、20 in Senior Over 40)

To clash with Japan World Super Stars & WDSF German Open (as 13/8/17 was the only Sunday available at HK Convention & Exhibition Centre in August 2017), still 149 couples &75 Solo dancers showed up . Lawrence & Gertrude had to thank all other HK Dance Associations as no other local competition was held on the same day! Mutual respect, understanding & harmony seemed to be flourishing in Hong Kong DanceSport environment ! Lawrence & Gertrude are looking forward to witnessing & celebrating the Golden Jubilee of Come Dancing Cup !
